Mumbai: Kapil Sharma is expected to make a splash on the small screen soon with his new show on the same channel that aired The Kapil Sharma Show last year.
The star comedian, who had unveiled a promo of the show on Twitter last week, is gearing up for his new venture which will be titled Family Time With Kapil Sharma, reports suggest.
The new show will have almost the same cast except Sunil Grover. Kiku Sharda and Chandan Prabhakar will be a part of the show but it is not clear if Ali Asgar is on board.
Both Ali and Sunil had been integral parts of Team Kapil Sharma. They were with him ever since Kapil made his debut as a producer on TV with Comedy Nights With Kapil, a programme that made him small screen’s superstar.
Soon after Grover’s exit, TKSS arguably lost its charm. The TRP of the show got affected badly and Kapil couldn’t cope with the pressure, reportedly. His health deteriorated and he had to call off shoot quite a few times at the eleventh hour.
To resurrect his health, he flew to Bengaluru to undergo treatment at an Ayurvedic clinic and returned to Mumbai to complete his film Firangi which released on December 1.
The film directed by Rajiev Dhingra and produced by Kapil proved to be a dud at the Box Office. It was Kapil’s second film after his debut Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon and first venture as a film producer.
And now that Kapil is all set to return to the small screen (reportedly in March), his fans will have all the reasons to smile.
