Kapil Sharma's new TV show may get delayed- Deets inside

Mumbai: Kapil Sharma had recently revealed that he would soon make a comeback on Indian TV, but his fans might have to wait longer to watch him on the small screen again. The latest buzz suggests that his new TV show might not get launched during Diwali.

According to a report in DNA, the star comedian, who ventured into Punjabi film production with 'Son Of Manjeet Singh', did not receive a satisfactory response to the flick at the Box Office. 

Moreover, two of his offices here have been shut down, the report suggests. Hence, he is looking forward to finding someone to produce his new TV show.

There's more trouble for Kapil because he may not find a suitable studio or sets to shoot until December because multiple reality shows are being shot these days.

And last but not the least, the channel that would air his new show wants to have a bank of episodes before launching it.

"After their experience last time, they don’t want to take any chances. They want Kapil to be ready with at least half-a-dozen episodes before they go on air. That is one of the reasons the channel is not announcing anything yet," DNA quoted an insider as saying.

Besides these issues, Kapil's new show may get delayed because he is reportedly getting married to his ladylove Ginni Chatrath on December 12 this year.

Kapil, who was already popular for his stand-up comedy acts, became a household name after he made a splash on television with a show titled Comedy Nights with Kapil. The show was one of the most popular programmes on Indian TV. Later, he returned to TV with a show named The Kapil Sharma Show. But things went awry after his fallout with colleague and friend Sunil Grover. He stepped into film production with Firangi, which saw him essaying the role of a hero. The film which released on December 1, 2017, proved to be a dud at the Box Office. After about 3 months, Kapil made a comeback of sorts with TV show Family Time With Kapil Sharma. But the show failed to strike a chord with the audience.
