Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah: Disha Vakani aka Daya Bhabhi to be back but there's a twist

Mumbai: One of Indian TV's most adorable Bhabhis - Daya - played by Disha Vakani will be back on Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. But wait, before you think Disha is all set to return anytime soon, here's the answer.

Daya Bhabhi will be back in the flashback scenes. Yes, the portions that were short earlier will be used for an upcoming track that will show Daya Bhabhi and Jethalal reminiscing memories of their childhood.

For the unversed, Disha who delivered a baby girl in November last year is on maternity leave. 

Viewers have been eagerly waiting for Disha to return to the show. And hence the makers have decided to introduce a new track that will make Daya fans happy.

An entertainment portal quoted a source as saying, "The makers of Taarak Mehta… will introduce a track revolving around Daya Ben and Gada family. Daya and Jethalal will revive their good old memories in the show. They would talk about how they were as teenagers and how much fun they had in their childhood.” 

The source added, "Though the sequences featuring Disha have been shot, makers will use the footage in its upcoming episodes. Since viewers were missing Daya in Taarak Mehta… they decided to use the unexploited scenes now.”

There were reports suggesting that Disha will no longer be a part of the show. But that does not seem to be the case. The actress is expected to return once her baby grows a little older.
