Aliganj election result 2022: The final results of the assembly election held in AliganjVidhan Sabha, which is one of the four Assembly seats of Uttar Pradesh's Etah district, have come. The Etawah Vidhan Sabha seat witnessed a neck and neck fight mainly between SP's Rameshwar Singh Yadav and sitting BLP MLA Satyapal Singh Rathore. BJP's Satyapal Singh Rathore has won the electoral battle in this seat by securing 39506 votes as against his SP rival who got 36589 votes in a close contest.
It is one of the five Assembly seats that make up the Farrukhabad Lok Sabha constituency. The Aliganj Assembly constituency is a general seat. It is not reserved for SCs or STs.
While BJP has fielded Satyapal Singh Rathore, its sitting MLA, from Aliganj Vidhan Sabha in the 2022 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, the Samajwadi Party has given ticket to Rameshwar Singh Yadav and the IND has fielded Devendra Singh Rathore. In 2012, Rameshwar Singh Yadav of SP won in this seat defeating Sanghmitra Maurya of BSP by a margin of 26021 votes which was 13.03% of the total votes polled in the constituency. SP had a vote share of 45.63% in 2012 in the seat.
