Lucknow: The first session of the newly elected Uttar Pradesh Assembly witnessed a stormy affair with the Opposition parties taking on the Yogi Adityanath government on the law and order front.
Governor Ram Naik's speech in the joint assembly was disrupted as Opposition parties raised banners and posters and came to the well of the house.
According to media reports, the protesting MLAs blew whistles and catcalls as soon as Naik started his speech. In a bizzare incident, some of the MLAs even resorted to hurling paper balls at Governor Ram Naik during his address.
This the first assembly session of Yogi Adityanath as Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh.
