Woman shot at by jilted lover in Uttar Pradesh, critical

A jilted lover on Monday shot at the woman he loved, injuring his critically, in Deoria area in Uttar Pradesh. The woman has been admitted to Gorakhpur medical college and is believed to be in a critical condition.

The youth, identified as Manwendra Jaiswal, shot at the woman while she was returning home along with her mother after performing a puja. She suffered injury on her chest and was immediately rushed to the district hospital. Looking at her condition, doctors referred her to the Gorakhpur medical college.

It is said to be a case of one-sided affection. The police said that a case has been registered and investigation has been initiated. The accused is yet to be arrested.
