Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday paid a visit to ‘Kanha Upvan’ - a shelter home for cows and stray animals - run by Samajwadi Party patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav’s daughter-in-law Aparna Yadav's NGO 'Jeev Ashray'.
UP Deputy Chief Minister Dinesh Sharma accompanied the fire brand saint-politician during his visit to the cow shelter home.

News 18.com had earlier reported that SP patriarch Mulayam and his wife Sadhna will be there to welcome the Chief Minister.
Adityanath's visit to 'Kanha Upvan' comes days after Aparna and her husband Prateek met the saint-politician at the VVIP Guest House where he was staying before finally shifting to his official residence soon after he took charge as the chief minister.
Their meeting with firebrand BJP leader had triggered intense speculation in the political circle as it came a few days after BJP trounced Akhilesh Yadav-led SP in the 2017 UP assembly elections.
Prateek, Aparna and BSP leader Ramvir Upadyay had called their meeting with UP CM a 'courtesy visit'. The trio had met the CM with a bouquet of flowers and the meeting lasted about 20 minutes.
During their meeting, Prateek and Aparna had reportedly discussed the issue of ‘Gau-Sanrakshan’ (cow protection) with the UP CM.
Incidentally, Aparna had unsuccessfully contested against BJP heavyweight Rita Bahuguna Joshi from the Lucknow Cantt seat. Importantly, Bahuguuna is now a minister in the Yogi cabinet.
Earlier too, Aparna Yadav had visited Yogi Adityanath in September 2014 in Gorakhpur after the death of Mahant Avaidyanath.
