Rain alert in Uttarakhand, heavy downpour in next 24 hours in Uttarkashi, Dehradun, Chamoli, Rudraprayag

Dehradun: The weather department on Tuesday issued a heavy rain alert in many parts of Uttarakhand over the next 24 hours.

The MeT Department has issued heavy rain alert in Uttarkashi, Dehradun, Chamoli, Rudraprayag and Bageshwar.

Earlier this month, as many as five people were killed in a landslide that took place due to heavy rainfall near Dharchula-Twaghat motorway in Uttarakhand.

Uttarakhand has been experiencing heavy rainfall this season from the past few days and many incidents of natural calamities are being reported.
