Dehradun: Uttarakhand which went to polls on February 15, witnessed over 68 percent voter turnout, two per cent more than the last Assembly polls, in 69 out of the state's 70 seats.
Following are the exit poll results for the hill state:
- NDTV Uttarakhand poll of exit polls - BJP, 45 and Congress 21.
- C-Voter predicts photo finish between BJP and Congress. As per Times Now - C Voter both parties will end up between 25 to 35 seats.
- India Today-Axis exit poll for Uttarakhand - BJP to win 46 to 53, 12 - 21 Congress and BSP 1-2.
- Vote Share as per Chanakya - BJP 43% , Congress 34%, and others 23% (plus and minus 3%).
- NewsX-MRC exit poll - BJP 38, Congress 30, Others 02.
- Chanakya poll gives 53 seats to BJP, 15 to Congres (plus and minus seven seats).
- Haridwar (rural) and Kichcha in Udhamsingh Nagar district are two high-profile seats to be watched out for as Chief Minister Harish Rawat is in fray from from both.
- They include Yashpal Arya (Bajpur), Harak Singh Rawat (Kotdwar), Shailarani Rawat (Kedarnath), Shailendra Mohan Singhal (Jaspur), Kunwar Pranav Singh Champion (Khanpur), Pradeep Batra (Roorkee) and Subodh Uniyal (Narendranagar).
- Among those testing their political luck are 12 former Congress MLAs who are in the fray as BJP candidates this time.
- However, rebel candidates of both the parties are in the fray as independents in several seats and may upset the calculations of the official nominees of their respective parties.
- In most of the seats, ruling Congress and BJP are locked in a straight contest.
- For the first time, Voter-verified paper audit trail (VVPAT) machines were used in three constituencies including BHEL Ranipur, Dharampur and Rudrapur.
