Milk production in Germany was around 33 million tonnes and it ranked sixth globally.
Russia is not far behind Germany. It produced around 32 million tonnes of milk ranking seventh across the world.
France produced around 25 million tonnes of milk ranking eighth globally.
New Zealand ranks ninth with milk production of around 21 million tonnes.
