Chit fund scam: CBI summons Trinamool Congress MP Sudip Bandyopadhyay on Dec 30

Kolkata: The Central Bureau of  Investigation on Tuesday issued a summon to Trinamool Congress MP Sudip Bandyopadhyay in connection with the chit fund scam case. 

Bandyopadhyay has been asked to appear before the CBI on December 30

"I will go and find out what the allegations are," Bandyopadhyay, who has been summoned on December 30, said on Tuesday. 

"It's not good to be constantly called and issued summons." 

The development of the summons came hours after Trinamool supremo and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee took on the Modi government at a joint press conference with other opposition parties, including the Congress.
