Bushra Maneka is Khan`s third wife.
Imran Khan-led Pakistan government completed its 100 days on Thursday.
And Khan wants to credit one special person for his smooth functioning in the last 100 days.
“In the 100 days, I want to give credit to Bushra Begum. In these 100 days I took one day off and want to praise her for such a difficult life during the last 100 days,” said Khan during a ceremony marking the completion of the first 100 days of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government, reported Geo.tv.
“When I watch TV at home and see some injustice and get angry, I turn to Bushra Begum and say look at this injustice to which she replies that you are the prime minister,” he added.
“After being in the opposition for 22 years, I need to be reminded that I am the prime minister,” he added.
Khan had married Bushra Maneka, his spiritual guide, in a simple ceremony in Lahore in February. This was Khan's third marriage. He first tied the knot with Jemima Goldsmith on May 16, 1995 that ended in divorce after nine years on June 22, 2004. His second marriage was with Reham Khan, then a TV anchor, which continued barely 10 months.
In a special ceremony at the Jinnah Convention Centre of Islamabad, Khan rolled out its first 100 days performance report and vowed to pursue reforms in every field and revitalize economic growth through its tenure till 2023.
Speaking of the government's performance, Khan said they tried to benefit the common man from their policies, adding that the same reason was behind friendship with India as it will help increase trade between the two countries.
Khan said his government was trying to introduce a uniform education curriculum across the country and that they also formed a task force to fix government hospitals. He said the government was also devising a system to alleviate poverty in Pakistan.
Talking about corruption, the Prime Minister said they were seeking details of accounts through which money was laundered abroad, dating back to before the Panama Papers leaks.
After assuming office on August 18, Khan set a 100-day agenda for his government to achieve progress in the next five years.
