Russia says will veto proposed Syria sanctions over chemical weapons

"I just explained our position very clearly to our partners. If it is tabled we will veto it," UN deputy ambassador Vladimir Safronkov told reporters.

United Nations: Russia will use its veto to block a draft UN resolution imposing sanctions on Syria for the use of chemical weapons, the deputy ambassador said Friday.
