New York: Eleven bodies have been recovered so far in a massive search and rescue operation presently underway in the Black Sea a day after Russian military plane Tu-154 with 92 passengers on board crashed in the region.
CNN quoted Kremlin spokesman Dimitri Peskov as saying that terrorism was not a likely cause of the crash.
The Russian Emergencies Ministry and the Russian Defence Ministry had confirmed the crash of the missing Tu-154, saying the debris of the aircraft and alleged personal belongings of the passengers were discovered in the Black Sea.
According to the ministries, more than thousand search and rescue personnel are currently involved in the search operation.
The ministries said the DNA testing would be carried out of the bodies in Moscow.
Russia is observing a day of national mourning for Tu-154 plane crash victims today.
