Islamabad: A police constable in Pakistan has publicly thrashed a woman and her daughter at the Benazir Bhutto International Airport here, triggering a major controversy.

The authorities have promptly suspended the female constable and the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has been asked to probe the matter.

The video of the incident, which shows Ghazala Shaheen brutally thrashing the mother-daughter duo, went viral on social media.

According to a media report, the scuffle started over "missing toilet papers".

The NIA has filed an FIR against the reckless cop.
