Zee Media Bureau Raipur: The Bharatiya Janata Party on Sunday managed to win an absolute majority in Chhattisgarh in the 2013 Assembly elections.
The BJP has bagged 49 seats which translates into a third term for Dr Raman Singh on the Chief Minister`s chair.
Congress managed to win 39 seats, one went to the Bahujan Samaj Party and an Independent candidate has emerged victorious.

  • Chhattisgarh Congress chief Charandas Mahant has blamed his party`s loss on "internal sabotage." "This is democracy and we consider it our bad luck that our big leaders about whose victories we were sure had to face defeats. It also indicates some internal sabotage. However we will do analysis," he added.
