Islamabad: Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s son-in-law Muhammad Safdar, who has been accused of graft, was arrested early on Monday upon his return to the country from the US.

Nawaz, his daughter Maryam and her husband Safdar were asked to appear before a court here on Monday over graft charges.


Pakistan's National Accountability Bureau, which is investigating the case, arrested Safdar from the Benazir International Airport here, Dawn reported.
