MUMBAI: Former chief minister of Chhattisgarh Ajit Jogi, whose party Janata Congress Chhattisgarh (JCC) is a key political player in the BJP-ruled state, was admitted to a Mumbai hospital after he complained of respiratory problem.

According to ANI, Jogi was rushed to the famous Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai. 


The JCC chief is believed to be stable now and will be discharged soon.


ANI reported that his health condition is improving and he is better now.  



''He had a mild chest infection. He is doing well. He is likely to be discharged today,'' a doctor at the Lilavati Hospital said.


Jogi had recently contested the Assembly elections in Chhattisgarh from Marwahi in Bilaspur.


Assembly polls in Chhattisgarh were held in two phases earlier this month. 


The results will be announced on December 11.
