Hyderabad: Congress on Tuesday released its manifesto for the upcoming Telangana Assembly elections. The state goes to polls on December 7 while the counting will be held on December 11.

Here are the promises made by the grand old party in their manifesto:


1. 2 lakh loan waiver for farmers


2. Recruitment of 20,000 teachers


3. 20 per cent of the state budget to be invested in the education sector


4. Arogyashree - health scheme


5. Rs 5 lakh to BPL families for construction of houses


6. Percentage of Dalit reservation to increase


The Congress manifesto was announced on a day when the Prime Minister Narendra Modi attacked the Opposition in Telangana, accusing both the Congress and Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) of indulging in dynasty politics


PM Modi also accused the TRS government of doing nothing during its tenure while only the KCR "dynasty" flourished.


He further said that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao did not join Ayushman Bharat scheme under which the Centre would bear medical expenses of the poor to the extent of Rs five lakh a year because of his feeling of insecurity.
