Who can be a bigger Anaconda than Narendra Modi, he swallowed CBI, RBI: Andhra Pradesh Finance Minister
The verbal attack comes days after the ruling Telugu Desam Party in Andhra Pradesh firmed up its ties with the Congress.
In an election year, political tempers are running high across the country with politicians indulging in name calling. launching a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a minister in the Andhra Pradesh government likened him to an "anaconda" who has been "swallowing" national institutions.
"Who can be a bigger Anaconda than Narendra Modi? He himself is the Anaconda that has swallowed all the institutions. He is swallowing up institutions like CBI, RBI, etc," TDP politburo member and Andhra Pradesh Finance Minister Yanamala Rama Krishnudu said.
The verbal attack comes days after the ruling Telugu Desam Party in Andhra Pradesh firmed up its ties with the Congress.
Krishnudu said the TDP's immediate duty is to save the country from the BJP."Every Tom, Dick, and Harry is speaking of past politics. Past can't be present or future. But present and future will become past. The critics of TDP should understand this.TDP was not established against any single party. It was founded against system," the minister said.
He lashed out at the opposition YSR Congress and Jana Sena, saying they hankered only for power and did not have any national responsibility. "Those two parties are, hence, supporting Modi who has been destroying national institutions and democracy," he added.
Hitting back, the BJP said that TDP chief K Chandrababu Naidu was the "king of corruption" and is scared that his corrupt history would be exposed now. "N Chandrababu Naidu is the king of corruption and will stoop to any level. The man who passed a resolution in the NDA meeting in 2017, that Modi should become prime minister again is now trying to portray the latter as a culprit," state BJP president Kanna Lakshminarayana said.
"All corrupt leaders have formed a group and Chandrababu hastily ran into it. But it will not be possible if they try to loot the country in the garb of politics," he added.
