New Delhi: It seems that acche din for the Indian passenger car market are set to begin with more new models set to be launched soon. With increased disposable income of the salaried class, courtesy 7th pay commission, the car makers are hoping to woo consumers with Automated Manual Transmission( AMT) versions.  


Here are the different AMT versions of cars launches expected in the coming months:



After Swift Dzire, Celerio, Alto K10 and Wagon R, Maruti Suzuki is reported to be bringing AMT in both the petrol and diesel variants of the most awaited car Ignis. The car is expected to be launched in February 2017.


The Ignis is expected to have a 1.2-litre VTVT petrol engine and a 1.3-litre MultiJet diesel unit.



Renault is seen launching the AMT version of its most successful ca in India- the Kwid- on November 9.


Both, the 800cc and the 1.0 litre variants of the Renault Kwid are likely to get AMT.



Tata Hexa, which is seen as the face-lift version of the Aria, is reported to come out with AMT variant in January. As per industry reports, Tata Hexa will be launched with a 2.2-litre engine that is tuned to generate 154bhp of power at 4,000rpm and 400Nm of torque at 1,700 to 2,700rpm.



TataTiago AMT is also expected to be launched soon. Tata Motors already have the AMT variants in GenX Nano and Zest. Both, petrol and diesel engine options will have the AMT versions.
