The meeting is scheduled to take place at 12 noon.

Meanwhile, Janata Dal (United) MLAs will also meet at 5 pm today.

The meetings assume significance as the Bihar Assembly session will commence from July 28. There is a widening rift in the state's ruling Grand Alliance over the corruption allegations against Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav.

The JD(U), Congress and RJD are partners of Bihar's ruling Grand Alliance, which is in the throes of a political crisis due to the CBI raids on RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav's premises over an alleged benami land deal.

The JD(U) has demanded Tejashwi Yadav to explain the alleged acquisition of massive wealth.

The BJP and its NDA partners have been strongly demanding for resignation of Tejashwi Yadav.

Notably, Tejashwi Yadav had a closed door meeting with Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for over 40 minutes on July 18. It was their first interaction since the crisis surfaced.

Bihar has been in the grip of a political crisis after the CBI registered a case against Tejashwi in a benami property case and also raided his premises earlier this month, leading to demands for his resignation.
