AGARTALA: Hitting out at the ruling Narendra Modi government at the Centre, Chief Minister Manik Sarkar on Tuesday said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is conspiring to wipe off Tripura from history.
He called the BJP-IPFT alliance 'unholy' and said that the party's election partner Indigenous People's Front of Tripura (IPFT) demands for the separation of Tripura.
"The alliance between BJP & IPFT is unholy. BJP is supporting IPFT which demands for the separation of Tripura. It is a conspiracy to wipe off Tripura from history: Tripura CM Manik Sarkar in Agartala," ANI quoted the Chief Minister as saying.
Sarkar went on slamming the ruling government and said that the BJP is creating disturbances across the nation. The party has failed to keep the promise of bringing 'Acche Din' in its four years of rule since 2014.
"BJP is creating disturbances throughout the nation. 4 years back they came to power with promises of 'Acche Din' among others but kept none. Inflation is at all time high post independence. While petrol prices is going down in global market it is higher in India," he said.
Accusing BJP of taking money from the corporate for the 2014 election, he said that the party is working for them. He further claimed that the BJP is stopping social and profit-making public sector so that the corporate can make profit.
"BJP had taken money from the corporate for 2014 election so they are working for them, stopping social and profit making public sector so that the corporate can make profit. This will repeat in 2019," he added.
