on Wednesday night, police said in Waranga on Thursday.
“The villagers caught five persons indulging in
'witchcraft' and tied them to trees at the village centre.
They were set on fire after pouring kerosene and petrol over
them,” police said.
“Four of the victims died on the spot due to severe burns
while the fifth one survived and was battling for life in MGM
hospital in Warangal,” hospital sources said. Police registered a case in the incident and identity of
those involved in the burning was being ascertained.
