During Zero shoot, I spent all my time sitting on the chair: Anushka Sharma
Anushka, who plays Aafia, a cerebral palsy patient in `Zero`, shared how she got into the shoes of her character.
New Delhi: Anushka Sharma on Friday opened up about her "challenging" role in one of the most anticipated films of the year, 'Zero'.
The trailer of the film was released at a grand event here, which was attended by the star cast, including Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif and Anushka.
In the 3 minute 14 seconds-long trailer, the 'Sanju' star - whose role was kept under wraps - features as a struggling scientist on wheelchair.
Speaking at the launch, Anushka said, "I am playing a character who has a cerebral palsy. I realised it was going to be very challenging. I could emote so much as I was going through these ups and downs in the film. The only way I could emote everything I was feeling was by just really being centered and being on that chair and not move."
The 30-year-old further talked about how she prepared for her role.
"I used to just come on the set and be there and only get up when I had to go for lunch or something. Otherwise, I used to just be on that chair on the set all the time," she said.
The trailer takes you on a journey of Bauua Singh (played by SRK) - a vertically challenged man on a lookout for a bride. Katrina plays the role of an actress, battling alcoholism.
According to the makers, Bauua's experiences with these women "take him on a journey to complete his 'incompleteness' and broaden his horizons to find a purpose he never knew he had."
The Aanand L. Rai-directorial is all set to hit the big screens on December 21.
