Harshvardhan Kapoor roped in for Olympic medallist Abhinav Bindra`s biopic
Abhinav made India proud in 2008 by winning gold in the 10 m Air Rifle event at the Beijing Olympic Games. With the marvellous achievement, he also became the first Indian to win an individual gold medal at the Olympic Games.
New Delhi: After Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's 'Mirzya' and Vikramaditya Motwane's 'Bhavesh Joshi', Bollywood actor Harshvardhan Kapoor will now be seen playing the role of Olympic medallist Abhinav Bindra on the silver screen.
The 26-year-old actor confirmed the same on Tuesday by posting a heartfelt message on Instagram. "Beginnings are very special. Especially when you get to play a character that has made the nation proud on world stage. I am stoked to have been chosen to play #AbhinavBindra and hopefully will do justice to the man, the legend! Like the man himself said "Hard Work is a talent." #LetsDoThis," he wrote.
Along with the message, Harshvardhan also shared with his fans a candid picture. In the image, he shared the frame with Abhinav. Well, a lot of awesomeness can now be expected from the upcoming movie.
