Hrithik Roshan as Shiva in Sanjay Leela Bhansali`s adaptation of `Shiva Trilogy` adaptation?
Hrithik has essayed a couple of historic characters in the past - he had played Mughal Emperor Akbar in `Jodha Akbar` and Sarman in `Mohenjo Daro`.
Mumbai: Amish Tripathi’s ‘Shiva Trilogy’ may now be adapted on the silverscreen by ace filmmaker Sanjal Leela Bhansali. And Hrithik Roshan is apparently the one who would essay the role of Lord Shiva in the film.
According to a report in Firstpost, Bhansali bought the rights to make the film after Karan Johar’s contract expired. Moreover, reports suggested that Karan, who was initially supposed to make the film decided against it because he feared repercussions of making a film based on the Hindu God.
Hrithik has essayed a couple of historic characters in the past – he had played Mughal Emperor Akbar in ‘Jodha Akbar’ and Sarman in ‘Mohenjo Daro’ – both of which were directed by Ashutosh Gowariker. If a film on the Shiva Trilogy eventually turns into a reality and Hrithik is finalised for the lead role, it would mark the director-actor’s second project together after ‘Guzaarish’.
