However, the two have always denied any link-up rumour and maintained the 'good friend' stand. Sushant turned 32 on January 21, 2018 and his 'good friend' Kriti took to Instagram to write a special birthday wish.

Now, if reports are to be believed, Sushant might be seen romancing Kriti's sister, Nupur in a Bollywood remake of The Fault in our Stars. India.com reports that the film was to star Aditya Roy Kapoor earlier but it looks like the makers have now decided to cast Sushant in the lead role. The film will most likely be helmed by Mukesh Chhabra and will mark Nupur's Bollywood debut.

Sushant made his Bollywood debut with Abhishek Kapoor’s Kai Po Che! In 2013. The actor became a star overnight and had become one of the most sought-after actors immediately. He was roped in by Yash Raj Films for Shuddh Desi Romance and Detective Byomkesh Bakshy – but both these films proved to be a dud at the Box Office. He claimed his Box Office spot with Neeraj Pandey’s M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story but couldn’t quite keep up the impressive spell. Raabta failed to impress the audience and it tanked miserably at the Box Office. He is presently busy with Abhishek Kapoor’s Kedarnath which will launch Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh’s daughter Sara Ali Khan in Bollywood. He has Sanjay Puran Singh Chauhan’s Chandamama Door Ke in his kitty.
