The super-hit director took to Twitter Monday to share a photograph from London, where a few portions of the film are expected to be shot.

He tweeted:

Work begins on #Bharat in freezing london , home for some days , may god bless us all.

Besides London, the film which is an official adaptation of the 2014 South Korean film Ode to My Father, will be shot in Abu Dhabi, Spain, Punjab and Delhi.

Produced by Salman’s brother-in-law Atul Agnihotri, Bharat, set in the backdrop of India in 1947 will take us through the events during the country’s partition. Not just that, the film will showcase significant events over a period of 70 years since partition.

The title of the film is self-explanatory. We can expect Salman to showcase his patriotic side by essaying a character that has witnessed partition.

The makers of the film have however remained tight-lipped about the rest of the star cast. It is scheduled to hit the screens on Eid 2019.

As of now, Salman is gearing up for Race 3 which also stars Bobby Deol, Jacqueline Fernandez, Daisy Shah, Saqib Saleem and Anil Kapoor. The third instalment of the Race franchise will make a splash on the silverscreen on Eid this year.
