Sara Ali Khan`s debut film `Kedarnath` in trouble, mom Amrita Singh blasts filmmaker Abhishek Kapoor
As per industry buzz, Amrita Singh recently had a heated argument with `Kedarnath` director Abhishek Kapoor over Sara Ali Khan`s Bollywood debut.
New Delhi: 'Kedarnath' has been making headlines for all the wrong reasons. It started after director Abhishek Kapoor decided to terminate the agreement with Prernaa Arora of KriArj Entertainment, thus leaving the fate of the film to hang in uncertainty.
And now, the latest buzz is that veteran actor Amrita Singh recently lost his cool on the director for his decision to snap ties with Prernaa Arora.
'Kedarnath' was supposed to mark Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh's daughter Sara Ali Khan's Bollywood debut opposite Sushant Singh Rajput.
However, the filmmaker's last minute decision to terminate his agreement with KriArj Entertainment has reportedly put the film in an indeterminate state. DNA quoted the source as saying, "When Gattu called Dingy (Amrita) to tell her about his decision to fly solo with Kedarnath and only getting a big studio on board for the release, Amrita completely lost her cool with him. A heated argument took place between the two."
The report states that after the termination of the agreement, other producers are also reluctant to come on board as both Prernaa and Abhishek are seeking legal recourse.
Amrita is said to be extremely concerned about Sara's onscreen debut, and since the fight between the filmmakers has reportedly put the film on hold, for now, she could not take it lightly and expressed her disappointment.
Reports said that Prernaa wasn't keen that 'Kedarnath' should release on December 21, as it would clash with Shah Rukh Khan-Anushka Sharma-Katrina Kaif-starrer 'Zero'.
However, Abhishek refused to budge from his stance and went ahead to announce the release date on Twitter, much to Prernaa's dismay.
Meanwhile, no official statement has been released from the makers as yet!
