New Delhi: German luxury carmaker Audi will launch its second generation flagship SUV Q7 in India on Friday to intensify efforts to retain leadership position in the Indian luxury car segment.


As per media reports, the all-new Q7 will take on the Mercedes-Benz GL, BMW X5 and the Range Rover Sport in the premium seven-seater segment.


The new model is likely to be priced in the range of Rs 70 lakh to Rs 80 lakh.


The company has launched Audi A6 Matrix, Audi R8 LMX, Audi RS 7 Sportback, Audi TT Coupe, Audi RS 6 Avant and the Audi Q3 during the current year.


In 2014 Audi had sold 10,851 units and remained the largest luxury car maker for the second consecutive year.
