Bengaluru: Bajaj Auto launched its motorcycle ‘V’ in Karnataka on Friday and also opened bookings for the vehicle.


Talking to media on the occasion Bajaj Auto motorcycle business president Eric Vas said, "V motorcycle is an attempt to create a motorcycle which has the ability to commute longer distances, handle rough Indian roads, bike that can hold its ground among bigger vehicles on the road and create a sense of pride.”


The motorcycle is priced at Rs.62,076 plus Rs.999 (accessories kit) and is available for delivery on March 23 after booking during the window period of March 10-20.


The motorcycle is special for the reason that it carried a commemorative insignia of metal V on the fuel tank extracted from decommissioned Indian aircraft carrier INS Vikrant. All the bookings till March 20 March 20 will receive a welcome kit containing an official ownership certificate and a memorabilia key chain.


The motorcycle is powered by a 150 cc DTS-i engine producing a torque of 13 Nm at 5,500 rotations per minute (RPM).
