28 killed coal mine blast in north China
Beijing, Aug 12: At least 28 miners have been killed and another 14 missing in a coal mine gas explosion in northern Chinese city of Datong, official report said today.

northern Chinese city of Datong, official report said today.
The blast occurred yesterday morning, when a total of 43
miners were working in the Xing'ergou mine in Shaxi province,
China's leading coal producer.
Rescue work was immediately conducted and one miner was
rescued, Xinhua news agency reported.
According to the state administration of production
safety, 15 bodies were found underground while 13 died soon
after being sent to the local hospital.
Rescue work was on to find out the missing miners and
investigation into the explosion was under way, officials
said.
