New Delhi: Launch of Tata Motors' much awaited Tiago, which was touted to be on Monday, has been postponed to April, as per media reports.

The Company has already started accepting booking for the car. Lionel Messi is the global brand ambassador for the company’s Passenger Vehicle Business Unit.

Customers above 18 years of age can book the Tiago either online or at any of the Tata Motors’ authorized dealership with a payment of Rs 10,000.

Tiago will add to Tata Motors' new model line up -- Zest and Bolt -- in its passenger cars portfolio besides the previous generation cars Indica Vista and the Indigo along with the new Nano.

It may be recalled that Tiago is the new name for the erstwhile 'Zica'. As Zika virus became an international emergency, the company announced that to empathise with the victims of the virus, will rename the new hatchback from its stable.

The car was expected to be launched in January, but was pushed back due to whole renaming process.
