New Delhi: Uber Technologies Inc. had their motorcycle taxi services called UberMoto suspended in the Indian city of Bengaluru following a ban and vehicle seizures by transport authorities on Wednesday.


Users were informed by the cab aggregator firm about the cancellation of the pilot service through mail on Wednesday.


Uber in mail stated “Today, we are pressing pause on the pilot while we share our learnings and work with the government to create modern regulations for app-based motorbike services”.


Uber also informed its employees that its a temporary suspension of services.


There are around 62 Uber motorcycle taxis confiscated along with 24 vehicles from other operators, as told by Rame Gowda, Bengaluru based commissioner for transport and road safety.
