New Delhi: Maruti Suzuki, is likely to roll out its new premium hatchback Baleno in India on 26 October. 


The premium offering from the car-maker, Maruti Baleno measures 3,995mm in length, 1,745mm in width and 1,500mm in height with a wheel base of 2,520mm.


Baleno is powered by a 1.2-litre K-Series petrol engine developing 83bhp and 115Nm of torque, and the 1.3-litre DDiS diesel engine will churn out 74bhp and 190Nm of torque. Both the engines come mated to a five-speed manual transmission, while the petrol engine is also available with CVT automatic gearbox.


As for fuel efficiency, while the Maruti Baleno DDiS diesel engine is tuned to deliver claimed fuel efficiency of 27.39kmpl, the petrol variant returns a claimed fuel efficiency of 21.4kmpl.


The car will be offered in four variants- Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha and is expected to get a price tag around Rs 6 lakh to 9.5 lakh. The bookings for Baleno opened across all Nexa showrooms on October. 


Ahead of its launch, the company has released the TVC of the new Baleno, giving a complete picture of the model.
