Volvo to introduce an electric version of every model by 2019

Volvo, the Swedish car manufacturer has plans to launch electric version of its cars across all the models by 2019

New Delhi: Volvo has ambitious plans to turn green. It is gearing to bring out a plug-in hybrid version across its entire range within four years, said the company in an announcement.

The automaker has already launched the T8 Twin Engine All-Wheel Drive plug-in hybrid version of its new XC90 SUV and plug-in hybrid versions of the new S90 premium sedan and other forthcoming models will follow next.

The other models which will also turn plug-in hybrid will be the S90 and S60 sedans, expected to be launched in the US before December. 

The Swedish car manufactures also plans to eliminate crash-related fatalities in its cars by 2020.
