New Delhi: Homegrown handset maker Intex has announced its foray into the virtual reality (VR) space with the launch of its VR headset 'Eyelet'.


Intex Eyelet is a certified Works with Google Cardboard (WWGC) device, making Intex the first brand in India to launch a Google-certified Cardboard viewer.


While the standalone pricing was not disclosed, Eyelet will come bundled with 4G-enabled Aqua View smartphone for Rs 8,999.


The company has tweeted:



Aqua View features a 5-inch display, 2GB RAM, 16GB memory (expandable upto 32GB), 8MP rear and 5MP front camera and 2,200 mAh battery.


The smartphone comes with bio-metric security - fingerprint sensor at the front panel. The scanner will scan and verify the authority, thereby making the device completely secure.


The dual SIM smartphone sports an 8MP Rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front camera.


Other specs include 2200mAh Li-Ion battery, 16GB memory which is expandable up to 32 GB and is available in Grey and White color options
