Moto G (3rd generation) starts recieving Android Marshmallow update
The update weighs in 2GB and is available for only unlocked and SIM-free handsets.

New Delhi: Motorola has started rolling out Android Marshmallow update to the Moto G (3rd generation). The updates will be recieved over the air.
The update is currently rolling out US and Canadian users while it would be eventually gradually release to other global regions. The Android Marshmallo update which was earlier called Android M, weighs in 2GB and is available for only unlocked and SIM-free handsets.
The new update brings along host of features like revamped app permissions, Now on Tap , Android Pay mobile payment system.
After the update, the phone will be on software version 24.11.25.en.US.
Motorola has so far pushed the update to other handsets viz Moto X Style, Moto X Pure Edition, Moto X Play, and Moto X (2nd gen).
