New Delhi: South Korean electronics giant Samsung on Wednesday launched a new colour version of the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge – the 'Pink Gold'.


The new Pink Gold joins the Galaxy family as the fifth colour to the already existing black onyx, gold platinum, white pearl and silver titanium.


The new colour is very much akin to the pink gold that the Apple iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus.


As of now, the Pink Gold version of the Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge will be available only in South Korea. However, it will soon be available in other markets too.


As to the new colour, Samsung reportedly said, "Pink Gold was chosen as it, like the other colors available for the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge, is a natural color that provides a sense of comfort. These hues glitter and shimmer as if illuminated from inside their glass surfaces. In particular, the refined, skin tone-inspired Pink Gold color scheme is intended to soothe and incorporate a touch of gentleness, radiance and sophistication to the smartphones' design."
