New Delhi: Looking to upgrade to a 4G smartphone for yourself? Then, the Cyber Media Research (CMR) 2015 would be the most resourceful guide for you.
As per the CMR report , Samsung, Lenovo and Xiaomi have ruled the charts in terms of popularity and demand.
These 4G LTE devices consisting of smartphones, tablets and data cards have contributed 98 percent, 0.9 percent and 1 percent respectively to the calendar 2015.
Samsung emerged as the winner in the race-- both in the smartphones and tablet PC category, as it held 35 percent and 63 percent market shares respectively.
While at the same time Lenovo and Xiaomi scored the second and third positions with 21 and 10 percent market share.
Also, the report announced that Micromax is the sole homegrown smartphonemaker in the top five brands contributing mere 14 percent, whereas the global and Chinese brands have gained strong positions in the league.
Faisal Kawoosa, lead analyst at CMR Telecoms Practice Shared that these 4G devices have achieved tremendous growth making the users equipped with 4G 35 million in numbers.
The ecosystem provisioning For 4G is much more swift and speedy than the evolution of 3G.
The onus, of course, is on telecom operators to make 4G LTE a success.
