Nagpur, June 15: Former BJP leader Govindacharya today endorsed the RSS views that the government should go in for a legislative option for resolving the vexed temple issue at Ayodhya. The legislative option to resolve the issue was a suitable one, he told reporters here.
He, however, said that it was 'unjust' to make temple issue a poll plank.
It was also improper to 'exploit the sentiments of one community and crush another', Govindacharya said adding "these are the results of seeds sown for politicising the issue of the minorities".
He reiterated that he would neither renew his BJP membership nor participate directly or indirectly in the poll campaign during forthcoming assembly elections in four states.
He termed the controversy, as to who was number one in BJP between Atal Bihari Vajpayee and L K Advani, as meaningless.
