New Delhi: In a bid to discourage passengers from carrying extra hand luggage, Jet Airways has decided to charge Rs 900 per piece on extra bags, according to a report in The Times of India.

The report says that the prescribed limit for consumers includes one hand bag, weighing seven (economy class) or 10 kg (business class), one laptop bag.

The female passengers can however carry a purse with them which will not be charged.

Duty-free bags will not be categorised under the tag of additional cabin baggage charges.
