Maggi noodles back with a bang! Sold out on Snapdeal in minutes
Nestle India announced that it will start selling Maggi noodles in most of the states starting Monday. Also available online on Snapdeal, Maggi was sold out on the online market-space in a few minutes

New Delhi: Nestle India announced that Maggi noodles will be back in the market starting Monday. Nestles's popular brand of noodles, which was cleared by the Bombay High Court and revoked the ban, also started selling online on Snapdeal from Monday.
The popular noodle brand was being sold at Rs 144 for 12 packs (70 gms), which was sold out in a matter of few minutes.

Chairman and Managing director of Nestle India said that Maggi Noodles rightfully belongs to the consumers and I feel happy to be able to give back to them their familiar taste during the auspicious and festive Deepawai season. The company has also partnered with Snapdeal to sell maggi noodles onlne.
Nestle India statement said that most states do not have a ban on the sale of Maggi noodles. "For states where specific directions are required, we are engaging with them".
While Nestle India had challenged the orders by FSSAI and Maharashtra FDA in Bombay High Court, the government had also filed a class action suit against it seeking about Rs 640 crore in damages for alleged unfair trade practices, false labelling and misleading advertisements.
At present, Nestle India is manufacturing Maggi noodles at three locations - Nanjangud (Karnataka), Moga (Punjab) and Bicholim (Goa).
Two more plants in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand -- where the instant noodles is still banned -- are yet to start and Narayanan said the company is engaging with authorities there in order to start production in those two units at the earliest.
