New Delhi, Aug 10: Wipro Infotech, a division of Wipro Ltd is planning to open an office in Saudi Arabia, with a view to strengthen its presence in the market. According to sources, the company will open an office there in the next few months while continuing its existing alliance with a local partner.

Pointing out that the Wipro's business in the region was growing, the sources added the company wanted to invest more there in terms of people, management focus and customer contact. The division currently has over 200 professionals positioned in the Middle East out of which 17 are business development and pre-sales people and the balance are devoted to projects. It is currently executing 21 projects in the region with half of projects coming from Saudi Arabia.

The major growth, Wipro Infotech is looking at, from the region is customer acquisition where it is primarily involved in software integration and it services business.

The company's clinetele in Middle East includes Dubai municipality and Doha bank among others. Bureau Report
