SC tells Sahara to tell source of money refunded to investors

The apex court told Sahara group that it is difficult to digest that so much money has been refunded in such a short span.

New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Friday told beleaguered Sahara Group to tell source of money which it claims to have refunded to investors.

Sahara had said that it has refunded Rs 18000 crore to investors. "We will close the entire Pandora's Box if you show us the source of refund money," SC told Sahara.

The apex court added that it is difficult to digest that so much money has been refunded in such a short span.

SC has fixed the matter for next hearing on September 16.
