New Delhi/Bangalore: After offering its first motorbike taxi service in Bangkok, taxi-hailing app Uber  is going to launch its bike services in Bangalore on Thursday, a financial daily said.


The bike services, to be called UberMOTO, will be charged as low as Rs 3 per km, as per an Economic Times report.


For every ride, Uber will charge a 20% commission on each ride while passengers can pay either cash or by credit card, the ET further said.


The services will start on a pilot basis as of now and is aimed at tackling the traffic woes that has gripped the city.


The UberMOTO ride will be equipped with  live GPS tracking and two-way feedback, the ET further said.


Uber was launched in 2009 and has presence in over 361 cities in 66 countries today.
