New Delhi: Summoned by the Enforcement Directorate to appear before it on March 18 in a money laundering case, beleaguered liqour baron Vijay Mallya is yet to confirm when he will join the probe.

In the aftermath of the summon and reports of him escape from India, Vijay Mallya said he was not an absconder but an international businessman who has to travel to and from India.

"I am an international businessman. I travel to and from India frequently. I did not flee from India and neither am I an absconder” he tweeted.

He also said he would fully comply with the law of the land.

"As an Indian MP I fully respect and will comply with the law of the land. Our judicial system is sound and respected. But no trial by media,” he further tweeted.

However, as per reports, ED sources said the businessman did not confirmed when he would join the probe.
