Soon after announcing relaxation of FDI norms in 15 different sectors, PM Narendra Modi on Tuesday said that the reforms indicate that government's commitment to development and reforms is unequivocal and unwavering.

“Today's reforms are another example of emphasis on Minimum Government, Maximum Governance,” PM said.

Government allowed FDI through automatic route in 15 sectors including the construction, civil aviation, banking, defence, retail and news broadcasting.

“India is unstoppable on path of economic progress. Government wants the world to see the tremendous opportunities India offer,” Modi added.
