Kolkata, July 16: Bollywood star Vivek Oberoi fractured his leg while shooting here in a film directed by eminent film maker Mani Ratnam who also developed chest pain. Both were admitted to separate hospitals in the city.
Sources at the Calcutta Medical Research Institute (CMRI) said Oberoi, the latest heartthrob, suffered a fracture in his left leg and had been admitted to the CCU.
Ratnam was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of B M Birla Heart Research Centre and an ECG conducted to ascertain his cardiac health, hospital sources said.
Ratnam complained of heart pain during the shooting of his film starring Oberoi, Abhishek Bachchan and Ajay Devgan.
The film maker might need a few days' rest after the illness, they said.
The condition of both was reported to be under control.
Ratnam arrived in the city with his film crew over the weekend to shoot for his forthcoming film. Bureau Report
